Celebrations
Don’t turn
into a glacier,
For if you
do, you’ll be a threat
Your
melting will become a havoc
And your
not melting will chill everyone.
Be instead
a warm ray of sun,
Spread
light and let folks open up,
To receive
your gentle, cozy hug.
And feel
happy with reason, without reason.
And the
world is plagued by fear,
Of the
present, future and memories.
Let
sweetness and joy be the message
That comes
from your being there.
Stillness
and silence may be,
And
solitude a state of bliss,
But let’s
all together celebrate
The event
of living alive and breathing.

UNNOTICED
In the midst of laughter and fun
I found a face which did not glow,
My heart pounded to run to the heart in dark,
But my mind restrained me.
Days past….
I did not care to light the unlighted lamp.
Days rolled very fast….
Without giving me a chance
But one day decided by almighty
To start my journey with the candle of love
It was then I could see
The world with her eyes
The eyes that needed compassion
The words which were never heard
It was then I realized
A beautiful friend was just near
Unnoticed for days
It was then I realized that it is never…..
Too late to love

MOTHER INDIA – OUR PRIDE
Darkness
enveloped the hearts and souls of many,
The zeal
of trauma was uncanny,
We were
like captive birds in a cage,
It seemed
the only fate awaiting us was carnage.
The reign
of the people with hearts of ice;
They
demanded our dignity and lives as the price,
To
disclose us from the cage of dread;
And to
wipe away the tears we shed.
Then the
key of hopes came flying by;
And to
light a candle in the darkness did they try.
A struggle
was the only chance to take,
To make
the big bars of captivity break.
With fury
in their minds and their hearts on fire,
To
transpire from the prison of horrors was their only desire.
It was not
swords that gleamed and
Clinked on
the battle field;
Through
our voice and determination
Against
the British we made a shield.
Suddenly
the darkness merged into light,
And the
candle of hope became bright.
Then the
fragrance of freedom filled the air,
And it was
our glorious souvenir.
Because
of this, we have limitless pleasures;
Diamonds
cannot be compared to these treasures.

BLESSING IN DISGUISE
The
lights went out
And the
sky went gray,
All
busy-men groaned about
Only
looking for a way.
The
power- cut lasted,
For one
whole night.
Some
thought time wasted,
Others
with joy their faces bright.
Soon
everyone got to realize,
This was
in fact, a blessing in disguise.
They
were home with families,
Finally
sharing with children; stories. `
Everyone
was very busy,
But not
in the way you think.
They
were really enjoying
To keep
up their family link.
A
brother put up a magic show,
A shadow
drama with a torch that glowed;
His
sister shared her joys,
With her
parents and siblings,
They all
sat around,
Talking
of all such things.
Grandparents
sat around,
Narrating their experiences,
At a
time like this it was,
So nice
listening to reminiscences.
When
lights came back,
A sigh
of sadness floated up,
The
electricity they all blamed,
For
spoiling their wonderful time epoch.
