His is a rags-to-riches story. He started out as a PRT and is at present, Principal, KV Malleswaram, Bangalore. During his 28 years of service in Northeast he could carve a niche for himself in the countless grateful souls. He has won several awards such as those from Leo Club, Lions Club, KVS Eminent Teacher Award, KVS Kavyamanjari Award, NCERT Award, GN Bordoloi Award and in 1995 the prestigious Government of India's National Award. He has authored 8 books so far. One of his novels is translated into 5 languages. So far he has attended and directed around 25 and 10 in service courses respectively. Recently two of his Hindi poems were included in 'Tridhara' TOLIC Magazine. He has been the Chief Guest of various functions organized by Adi Chunchungiri High School, Arabic College, Geological Survey of India, Airport Authority of India, Navodya Vidyalaya, State Bank of India, Vijaya Bank etc. when he served as a Principal in Mangalore prior to his transfer to Bangalore in June 2006. In 2004 his article 'The Only Religion Humanism' has been selected by United Schools Organization of India.
